ITS ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONITS

ITS Innovationstag 2024

The ITS celebrated its 25th anniversary at its founding location in the middle of the SIG Areal am Rheinfall. Representatives from Schaffhausen’s business and political communities gathered to honour 25 years of innovation.

The afternoon began with a tour of Johnson & Johnson’s Circulab, a pilot project for the automated dismantling of single-use medical devices for raw material recovery. The guests engaged in lively discussions about the technical challenges of the sustainability project. Dieter Bachmann, owner of Gottlieber Spezialitäten AG, impressed with a presentation on innovation culture and showed how progressive even traditional companies can be.

An interesting conversation between ITS Managing Director Marco Jaggi and entrepreneur Peter Spuhler provided insights into the latter’s recipes for success. The exciting insights and theories were discussed further by the participants during the aperitif that followed.

After networking breaks and comedy interludes by Stefan Heuss, workshops on innovation practices and case studies from industry rounded off the programme. Participants were able to deepen their knowledge and gain valuable insights into the tools and methods used by regional companies. The day ended with a welcome address by former ITS Managing Director Roger Roth. Inspired and full of enthusiasm, the participants left the successful event.
